Do you want to get your child into football but aren't sure where to start? Goals Soccer School is the perfect place to begin!

We welcome children of:

• Foundation age and above
• Any ability
• Any level of experience
• Any gender

Whether your child is completely new to football or has already started kicking a ball around, our aim is to help them enjoy the game, build confidence and develop their skills.

What we offer

Run by FA-qualified coaches and volunteers, our sessions provide a friendly, pressure-free environment where children of all abilities can enjoy football and develop at their own pace.

We particularly welcome children who are new to football, may lack confidence, or don't yet feel ready to join an established team.

Our focus is on enjoyment, confidence, development and giving every child the opportunity to play football.

How does youth football progress?

Ever wondered how children get started in football and how it develops as they get older?

Our coaching starts from Foundation age, with a strong emphasis on learning the basics, having fun and building confidence.

As children get older, they can progress from coaching sessions into organised team football and, later, competitive football.

For children starting their football journey, the focus is on enjoying football, developing confidence and learning the basic skills of the game.

Sessions provide an introduction to football without the pressure of league matches or competitive results.

🥅 Team Football — Ages 6–11

Year 2 to Year 6 / Under 7s to Under 11s

From Year 2, children can progress into organised team football, playing league games alongside their regular coaching.

At these age groups, the football remains non-competitive, meaning results and league tables are not published.

The emphasis remains on development, participation and enjoying the game rather than results.

🏆 Competitive Football — Age 11+

Year 7 onwards / Under 12s+

From Under 12s, football becomes competitive.

Teams continue to receive coaching and play league matches, but results and league tables are now published.

Development and enjoyment remain important as players experience the competitive side of the game.
